    I bought this package to use with the Watercolor Workbook, because the author suggested this brand and made her exercises for a size 1 and size 4 brush. These have been good and sturdy, and an excellent way to start putting paint on paper. You can always upgrade later once you decide you’ll keep at it, or if you figure out you want something different.

    These brushes are among my favorite for everything from watercolor to gouache. These don’t hold quite as much water as the Snap line, but man, they all come to a perfectly fine point. They don’t fray immediately. The handles are coated to help with water damage if you’re like me and ‘forget’ them in the cup for a few hours (days). The Snap line could not handle such abuse, but these can! I really prefer these to my higher end watercolor brushes.
