When I first read the description of this brush and it said “Long” I dismissed it because I thought that meant it was a long-handled brush (and I prefer shorter handles). But when I read more carefully I found out that “Long” referred to the head of the brush, and more specifically to the tip. This brush is a size 12 so it holds a lot of paint and can paint broad strokes but with the longer tip it is capable of doing detail work and painting fine lines, almost as fine as a rigger brush (see photo).

‘Now I’m a believer!’I read reviews on the Princeton brushes, and decided to try two of their lines, this Aqua Elite, and the Heritage models.Both of them hold a balanced quantity of both water and paint. They have a lovely firmness, and enough flexibility to paint a variety of strokes and lines. I was delighted with these from the very first tryout. The brushes hold a nice point, haven’t shed, and balance easily in the hand.The Aqua Elite’s brush handle has an odd, non-slippery finish that I’m not immediately attracted to, but doesn’t distract me when I’m actually using the brush.I LOVE these brushes, and will be looking for more of Princeton’s products when I shop for my next brush!
