I love these pens for journaling. I am not much of an artist but I do journal and draw in my journal. I tried the micron pens but just felt “meh” about them. Decided to try these because I find drawing a picture is much easier than writing a tomb sometimes. I was wow-ed right from the start with these. I can’t tell you what’s better about these over the microns. All I can say is I’ll be sticking with these for my journal (and giving the microns away…). They write easy and smooth and allow me to quickly illustrate an idea of thought very nicely. It just feels good to draw with them.

On their own, the lines go on smooth and dry pretty quickly. I haven’t noticed any wear after a few months of using them. My main mediums are alcohol marker and watercolor. they work amazing for alcohol markers. No bleeding, even with several layers. They are not perfectly waterproof, however, so they can sometimes bleed when using watercolor. However, they don’t claim to be perfectly waterproof, so that makes sense. Allowing them more drying time than normally needed seems to work for this. Overall, they are perfectly serviceable markers
