This is a really nice, extremely sturdy easel. It is the type of quality product that will last me a lifetime, and I’ll probably be able to hand it down to my artistic children. It can hold a medium sized to a large canvas. The keys tighten up so that nothing moves as you paint. The shelf under the easel is a real plus.Edit: I still love this studio easel! It is a substantial piece of furniture but I found that if I put furniture sliders under the legs I have no problem moving it around. It can also be folded to be put aside out of the way when not needed.

Very stable. Flexible presentation, from upright to horizontal for different work habits or media. Beautiful enough to leave out but also fairly simple to fold down to clear space. Well worth the price. Not much to assemble (basically just attaching the top to the bottom and inserting the slides,)but the one minor complaint I have is that the instructions for assembly are a tad ambiguous, leading to some experimentation before getting it quite right. Shipping was prompt but check the box for signs of having been dropped and, if any, photograph before opening. The package is a bit heavy and I’ve had some bad experiences with clumsy shippers denying responsibility. Fortunately, though it was clear this box had been dropped on one end, the internal packaging was good enough to absorb the impact without damage to the easel. (Bravo!)

This is one beautiful, well made and sturdy easel! It’s so beautiful in fact I hate to get the first drop of paint on it! I love the fact it folds up for flat storage and that I can tilt it horizontally to prime canvases. Delivery was super fast and the packaging was superb! I was a bit dubious to pay a significant amount of $$$ for an easel but I’m so happy I did. I replaced a cheapy 3 legged easel that would fall over with the slightest touch or breeze. This Best Deluxe Lobo is well worth the money!My only complaint would be the lack of instructions for assembly although it wasn’t too difficult to figure out.
