I wanted to love these but I have two reasons for not: 1) there’s a lip on one side so it makes it difficult to place on a gel plate and 2) it’s really really slippery. If you don’t place it or lift it from the plate just right it will smear your ink or paint. I’ll continue to use them but I’ll need to be careful not to wreck my images and mark making.

Plates are sturdy and provide several different textures. Works with chalk, colored pencils, and crayons.

Love these rubbing plates. I have used them with fabric but mostly with clay. I use them with my slab work and get some great textures by combing selected textures.
